People say this to me all the time. You’re a trained actor. You’re a speech coach. You’re going to be terrific. And I get it. From the outside, it probably looks like I just… show up and things go well. 😳
No matter how it went, I always celebrated. There was one casting office near Nordstrom’s that called me in a lot, and every time I finished an audition, I’d head straight there to buy a pair of fun socks. It didn’t matter whether I booked the job. Buying the socks was my way of saying, “You showed up.” So here’s my question for you: are you celebrating yourself enough?
